Here is the most awesome text thread that I have ever had with my daughter, Linda.
Back-story: When Captain America first came out on DVD/Blu-ray I didn't rush out to get it. It was OK as movies go but I wasn't up to blowing 25 - 30 bucks on it at the time. For Christmas my Son-in-Law gives me a 20 and says that I have to spend it on myself. So I set off to WalMart to get Capt. America on Blu-ray and of course they don't have it in stock. Weeks and weeks go by and I still have not been able to find it new or used. After a while my daughter texts me asking if I have been able to find the movie yet; I explain that I haven't had any luck. The following thread ensues:
Linda: I WILL find it for you
Me: The Old King was unable to find the magic blu-disk that contained the soul of the legendary soldier that would free their realm. To honor her father the young princess, along with two Halflings, vowed to accomplish what the old King had been incapable of doing
and so the quest began.
Linda: Quest is completed Old King. We have the blu-disk and we will bring it to your castle on the 16th day of the first month of this year.
Me: Take care my princess, for others covet the disk and would use its power for evil. Trust no one, for the quest is not truly over until the disk is secure in the Keep.
Linda: Heads up. I mighty. Be there. Plans where made. I'll call when I can. Sorry.
Me: Forlorn the Old King paced the halls of the castle. His daughter, bearer of the magical blu-disk, had not arrived as planned. Only one message had been received, its contents rendered indecipherable by a dark curse. Concerned for her wellbeing, the Old King sent messages to all points of the compass.
Me: I feared you might have been beset by Ogers.
Epilogue: In the end the Queen rode out to retrieve the magical blu-disk and present it to her King. Fear not for the brave princess though, for while she was unable to complete her quest it was only Drama that opposed her. A foe ill suited to her skills in combat.
